Al Gore Wins Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel committee has awared the peace prize to the IPCC and Al Gore

This has be one of the most absurd choices ever given in that it is based on two unproven theories:

1. That humans are the principal cause of the 1^o C increase in average temperatures over the past 150 years
2. That this modest climate change will result in increased military conflict

Both of these assumptions are highly questionable.  Perhaps the committee failed to consider the increased conflict that might result from growing populations in grinding poverty that would result if the anti-economic growth policies Al Gore advocates are adopted.
